A split die is intended for cleaning threads, re-threading or threading on mild steel or aluminium, and when you need to replicate threads with a decent amount of accuracy.
Is is usually round, cut on one end, and there is a little setscrew threaded in between the split. As you tighten this set screw, the die expands. loosen it, the clamping from the die stock closes the gap.
They are the correct dies to use if you were to cut your own threads in a piece of round stock.
The other use for these is to adjust the screw so that the die fits existing threads tightly, the continue these threads.

This allows you to return anything you have bought from KAF within 30 days of the purchase date, for either a full refund or an exchange with a valid receipt or delivery note.
To be eligible for a No Quibble Return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

We do keep an eye on returns within this timeframe. If customers are found to be abusing the generosity of our guarantee, we reserve the right to refuse further returns from them.
If you would like to return your product(s) for repair / replacement / refund, please kindly contact us quoting your order/invoice number. Your returned product(s) will not be processed without a reference number.

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item.
We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.
If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within 14 days.

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.
Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.
If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at kaf.sales@kaf.ltd and send your item back to us, using the returns label on your packing note.
